Damart’s history is based on Thermolactyl and it still remains a main strength today. The fibre was developed by Damart in the 1950s meaning we can offer exclusively designed products to our customers.

What is Thermolactyl?
Thermolactyl is Damart’s brand of thermal wear – available in vests, long johns, tops and we have recently developed the range to include outer wear such as Thermolactyl cardigans, jeans and warmth accessories.

How does Thermolactyl work?
Thermolactyl works by trapping air in millions of tiny pockets within the garment. This air is then regulated between the skin and the cloth of the garment, by forcing perspiration to the outer surface where it evaporates, keeping you dry as well as warm.

Thermolactyl products are available in 5 grades of warmth. The 5 grades of Thermolactyl fibres used in our garments determine the level of warmth each will deliver; this allows you to wear the correct thermal whatever the weather and activity
